Three NOC boys named All-Ohio
COLUMBUS -- Three Northeast Ohio Conference boys basketball players have been named All-Ohio in Division I by The Associated Press.
Garfield Heights guard Carl "Tay" Jones was a first-team selection, while Brush guard Nate Tait earned second-team honors and Brunswick center Tyler Ferrell was an honorable mention choice.
Jones, a 6-foot senior, averaged 25.0 points in leading the Bulldogs to the NOC Valley Division championship. Garfield Heights also won the division's initial title in 2008.
Tait, a 6-0 junior, poured in 25.6 points per game for the Arcs. Brush claimed the NOC River Division crown.
The 6-5 Ferrell, a junior, led the Blue Devils in scoring and rebounding in his third varsity campaign.
All-Ohio players are chosen by a statewide media panel of AP members and are considered the highest honor in the sport.
